Program Info
The MSCTE degree is structured to allow individuals to pursue career advancement in career and technical programs at the secondary and postsecondary level in teaching and administration, or to prepare technologists with advanced technical management skills who are capable of managing personnel training and facilities.

The Master of Science in Career and Technical Education is designed to prepare students for positions such as Technology and CTE Teacher, Technical School Principal, KCTCS Faculty, KCTCS administrator, Program Coordinator, Chair and Dean

Admission to Morehead State University (see MSU admission requirements).

Satisfy University admission requirements. The requirements can be found on the MSU Admission Requirements webpage. Please see the Curriculum Map for specific courses for the option. Satisfy the following:
1. General admission to graduate study.
2. Satisfy one of the following:
a. Minimum score of 700 on the verbal and quantitative sec-tions of the GRE and a minimum of 3.0 undergraduate grade point average in major field.
b. GRE (verbal & quantitative) X GPA = 2,100.

Requirements for the Degree
1. Be unconditionally admitted to the program.
2. Successfully complete and defend a thesis or pass both a writ-ten and oral comprehensive exit examination (passing grade for written examination = 70 percent).
3. Must complete the required course work with a minimum graduate cumulative 3.0 GPA.
