Library Classroom

Purpose

The Library Classroom is for formally-scheduled library classes, training sessions, workshops and meetings. The Classroom may be used for purposes not related to the Library with permission (see details below). On rare occasions, the Classroom may be used as a group study room.

The Classroom contains 24 student workstations, an instructor workstation, a video projector, and an overhead projector. The total capacity of the room is 24 students.

Priorities for Use

All library and information literacy instruction that takes place in the classroom must be conducted or co-conducted by library staff.

Other uses must be approved on a case-by-case basis, may be scheduled no more than one week in advance, and are subject to rescheduling.

Location

The Library Classroom is located in Room 201. To find the classroom, head up the Library's main staircase to the second floor and turn left at the Athena statue. The classroom is on the right past the Unbound Periodicals Room. Patrons may also take the elevator in the Library Commons to the second floor and turn left after exiting the elevator. The classroom is to the immediate left.
