FAQ

Billing Questions

How do I contact the billing office during the University's winter break?

You may contact the billing office via email at billing@moreheadstate.edu.

Where can I view my account information and pay my bill online?

You may also pay your bill by mail or in person at 207 Howell-McDowell Administration Building.

How do I get my bill?

You will receive an electronic (e-bill) statement to your assigned MSU email account. If your account balance has been paid in full then you will not receive an e-bill statement.

When is my bill due?

All accounts must be paid in full by Monday, Dec. 4, 2017, to avoid cancellation of your class schedule on Tuesday, Dec. 5.

Protect Class Schedule:

For Winter 2017, all students must login to MyMoreheadState and select “My Billing Info” and then select “View and Pay My Account” to accept a Student Financial Responsibility Agreement.  This agreement will replace the Protect Class Schedule Financial Aid Plan for Winter 2017.  Acceptance of this agreement needs to be completed by Dec. 4.

In addition to the acceptance of the Student Financial Responsibility Agreement, all students who owe a balance must pay their tuition and fees in full for Winter 2017 by Monday, Dec. 4, to prevent cancellation of your class schedule on Tuesday, Dec. 5.  If your Spring 18 financial aid is not enough to cover your Winter 17 charges, you must pay your balance after financial aid in full.

If you have accepted the terms of the Student Financial Responsibility Agreement and you currently have enough Spring 18 financial aid to cover your Winter 17 charges, your Winter schedule is protected.

Can I receive federal financial aid for the winter term?

Your federal financial aid eligibility is based upon your combined winter and spring registration. The Office of Financial Aid will adjust your cost of attendance (COA) for spring based upon winter term registration. Any courses taken during winter term will be combined with spring registration to determine federal financial aid eligibility. For example: if a student is registered for 3 hours in the winter term, and 9 hours in the spring term, their spring eligibility will be based on 12 hours of enrollment.

Federal financial aid will not be awarded during the winter term; instead it will be combined with your spring award and disbursed according to the spring disbursement schedule.

How do I set up direct deposit?

  • Login to MyMoreheadState
  • Select "Students" from the Self-Service Menu (Web Advisor)
  • Select "Student Financial Info."
