Thanks to our 18:1 student-faculty ratio and an average class size of 18, you will get focused and personal attention from instructors intent on bringing out your full potential.


Classes

The Craft Academy allows you to take up to 18 hours each semester. With approval from the assistant director of academic services, you can take more than 18 hours at an additional tuition cost.


Study hours

Since academic success is a top priority at the Craft Academy, Grote-Thompson Hall has special quiet hours and study hours that are in place to allow for appropriate opportunities for studying. All students are expected to adhere to the following quiet hours:
  • Monday through Thursday, 7-9 p.m. (study hours) and 11 p.m. - 8 a.m.
  • Friday and Saturday, 12:30 - 10 p.m.
  • Finals Week 24/7

Academic Facilities

In addition to classrooms with built-in technology, MSU offers a number of laboratories and hands-on learning spaces.

Curriculum

Through the Craft Academy experience, you will complete a high school diploma and earn a minimum of 60 college credit hours, including math, science and English core courses, STEM electives and +X courses. All courses are taught by MSU professors.

Experience

Craft Academy students will have the opportunity to participate in study abroad trips. You'll have the chance to learn about other cultures and languages, with a STEM_X focus.
