Outdoor Adventures

Whether you want to go on a day hike or brave white water rapids, Outdoor Adventures can provide the equipment and skills you need. Out trips are open to students, faculty, staff and the community for a discounted price. Our trained and certified staff will ensure that you have a safe and fun time on your adventure. We work with your schedule and provide all the transportation as well as all the gear that you may need. So if you are looking to check something off your bucket-list, stop by the Recreation and Wellness Center Outdoor Adventures Office.

Challenge Course

The Challenge Course is located right in front of the Recreation and Wellness Center and is open to Students, Faculty, Staff and the Community.  This multi-level ropes course is comprised of both Low and High elements, which are designed to enhance your groups trust, teamwork leadership, communication and problem solving skills.  However, our highly trained facilitators have the ability to tailor learning outcomes to your specific needs. Take the opportunity to come and climb on the Challenge Course without prior scheduling for a group during Open Climb dates.  Bring friends, family or come by yourself for an unforgettable experience.

Fees
The Challenge Course costs $5 per person, per hour. There is a 2-hour minimum for groups wishing to use both the high and low elements, as one facilitator is required for each.

To register, contact Jason Hilton at 606-783-2270 at least two weeks in advance. You must also complete a reservation request form and waiver & health disclosure form. If you plan on having food or beverages available, you must contact Classic Fare Catering at 606-783-2797 or 606-783-2017.
