The Arts Administration Minor prepares program graduates for careers within the arts and social sector organizations.
According to Americans for the Arts, in 2010 the nonprofit arts and culture industry generated approximately $135.2 billion in economic activity annually, and supports more than 4.1 million jobs nationally. Specific to Kentucky, arts organizations and businesses employ over 24,000 people, and arts programming contribute over $425 million of Kentucky’s annual gross state product.
Career opportunities at cultural and social sector non-profits include positions in leadership, grant writing and fundraising, marketing and public relations, cultural and educational programming, community advocacy and organizing, and project management.
