Employers, legislators and parents are all asking for dynamic educational programs that "update" the liberal arts to meet the technological needs of the 21st century.  A Film Studies minor provides just such an "update" as it offers students a critical awareness of one of the most influential technologies of the era, film, while it reinforces the intellectual skills commensurate with a liberal arts education.  Students who minor in film have the opportunity to parlay their interest into rewarding careers in filmmaking, broadcasting, journalism or education.
