A. Frank and Bethel C. Gallaher Memorial Music Award

  • Provides music competition awards to full-time junior level students.

Alicia G. Vallotton Scholarship (Music - Theatre)‚Äč

  • Scholarship for returning Theatre major.
Art Leadership Scholarship
  • For entering freshman art majors.
Byrd H. Perry Memorial Scholarship
  • For incoming freshman from Bath County, with preference to those living in Salt Lick and majoring in music, history, government or political science related fields.
Donald F. Holloway Scholarship
  • Must be junior or senior and have a major within the Department of Communication, Media and Leadership Studies.
E. Glenn and Helen F. Fulbright Music Education Scholarship Award (Music)
  • Scholarship for the outstanding junior or senior in music education.

Edwa P. and Allie W. Young Memorial Award

  • To fund an annual award to an outstanding student in the Department of Music and an outstanding student in the Department History, Philosophy, Religion and Legal Studies. 

Erica Brown Memorial Endowment

  • Consideration will be given to students with an interest in creative writing and the fine arts. Preference will be given to students from MSU’s primary service region. Recipients shall maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 and maintain overall satisfactory scholastic standing.

F.S. Brown Scholarship for Strategic Communications

  • Full-time Strategic Communication major with junior or senior status and in good academic standing.

Frances Edmunson Scholarship

  • Full-time undergraduate Music majors. 

George T. Young Memorial Fund Award

  • Outstanding student in the Department of History, Philosophy, Religion and Legal Studies. Preference given to students who have a particular interest in Kentucky History.

Harlen Hamm Scholarship

  • Scholarship given to Speech or Theatre major with preference given to rising junior or senior. Students majoring in Theatre may also be considered if a Strategic Communication student is unable to be identified.

Jamey Aebersold Jazz Award (Music)

  • Scholarship for outstanding students in BM Jazz Studies program.

Joyce Brown and James C. LeMaster Scholarship

  • Full-time undergraduate students who are majoring in English or Industrial and Engineering Technology.

Lola Crosthwaite Scholarship

  • Awarded to full-time juniors who have declared a major of sociology, social work, or criminology and who have maintained a minimum GPA of 3.3.

Major Wayne D. Isham Award for ROTC Excellence

  • Awarded to top freshmen and sophomore cadets in the MSU ROTC program.

Mary Lynne Albers Memorial Scholarship Award

  • Scholarship for the outstanding student oboist.

Melody Trosper Scholarship (Theatre)

  • Scholarship for entering or returning full-time Theatre major student.

Music Scholarships

  • Music scholarship awards are available to qualified students (incoming freshman and transfer students only) as determined through a scholarship audition. These awards serve numerous students annually. All awards are contingent upon admission to the University.

Nelson Carpenter Scholarship (Theatre)

  • Scholarship for new or returning Theatre major student.

Noel F. Oney Scholarship (Theatre)

  • Scholarship for full-time student majoring in Theatre, minoring in Theatre or a graduate student with an emphasis in Theatre.

ROTC Campus-based Scholarship

  • Full-time undergrad/graduate student (2-4 years remaining to complete degree).

ROTC High School Nursing Scholarship Program

  • Accepted into MSU with declared Nursing Major.

ROTC High School Scholarship Program

  • Accepted into MSU with a 19 or higher ACT and a 2.5 or higher GPA. 

ROTC Nursing Scholarship

  • Applied and/or Accepted into BSN Program with a 2.5 or higher GPA. Meet qualifications to commission as an Officer in the US Army.

Raymond P. Ross, Sr. Memorial Award (Music)

  • Scholarship for the senior music major with the highest grade point average.

Reser Scholarship

  • Awarded to a minority student in the department who shows good scholarship, promise and commitment to his or her discipline and to concerns of social justice. 

Studebaker/Mueller Bassoon Award (Music)

  • Scholarship for full-time music education major with bassoon as their primary instrument.

Theatre Alumni Scholarship

  • Scholarship for full-time returning Theatre major or minor.

Theatre Scholarships

  • Scholarships for full-time Theatre major students.

Theodore Presser Scholarship Award

  • Awarded annually to the outstanding music major at or after the junior year.

Theta Alpha Phi Scholarships (Theatre)

  • Scholarships for returning Theatre students only.

Virginia and Evelyn Harpham Music Scholarship for String Players

  • Music major with an emphasis in string performance. Selected by audition.

W. David Brown, Sr. Scholarship

  • Journalism or Convergent Media major with junior or senior status, having a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5.

W. Paul and Lucille Caudill Little Scholarship for Study of the Arts at Morehead State University (Art Majors)

  • Students majoring in Art and Design from Kentucky with at least a unweighted high school GPA and a 22 ACT composite score.

W. Paul and Lucille Caudill Little Scholarship for Study of the Arts at Morehead State University (Music Majors)

  • Students majoring in Music from Kentucky with at least a 3.0 unweighted high school GPA and 22 ACT composite score.

W. Paul and Lucille Caudill Little Scholarship for Study of the Arts at Morehead State University (Theatre Majors)

  • Students majoring in Theatre and Dance from Kentucky with at least a 3.0 unweighted high school GPA and 22 ACT composite score.
