Photography Minor

Whether it's your dream to shoot pictures as a photojournalist, pursue a career in commercial photography or specialize in fine arts photography, a photography minor at MSU will equip you with the principles and techniques needed to create compelling visual images, effectively communicate ideas and tell stories.

You will have opportunities to work with a variety of media and approaches and will develop a strong background in creative image making, photographic history and aesthetics.

  • CVM 305 Documentary Photography (prerequisite CVM 205 or consent of instructor.)
  • ART 309 Computer Art
  • ART 473 35mm Photography (prerequisite ART 373)
  • ART 475 Large Format Photography (prerequisite ART 473)
