Visual Communication Minor

A minor in visual communication prepares students for the 21st century through exposure to emerging technologies and resulting computer competencies. The program will provide you with both the creative and technical abilities necessary for future employment in a wide range of visual communications, new media and graphic design fields.

This is a minor designed to serve students who have an interest in digital art and design, communications, computer information systems or a related field and desire further studies in visual literacy and communication. Students studying advertising and electronic media production will have particular benefit, due to the increased exposure to industry standard applications programs such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver and In-Design and the emphasis on the elements and principles of design in graphic design courses.
