Program Requirements

Admission to Morehead State University, see MSU admission requirements.

All new and transfer students planning to major or minor in music must audition before the music faculty on their principal performing instrument or voice prior to enrollment. The audition process is used to determine the student's readiness for entry into a music degree program. A scholarship audition may serve as a student's admission audition. An entrance and placement audition for all music-major programs is required prior to initial registration for courses required by degree programs (see music admission and scholarship application and audition requirements).

For a complete list of requirements for our programs and additional course information, visit the undergraduate catalog website.
