The Department of Computer Science and Information Systems offers a variety of degree programs to prepare you to work in a wide range of technology careers, including video game design and coding, network security, application development, web development, systems analysis and information systems management.
These programs offer hands-on experience with real-world projects as part of your coursework. You will be challenged to think critically and solve technology problems, and you will learn skills that are in demand in the growing technology sector. As a student, you will also have the opportunity to conduct research as early as your freshman year through MSU's Undergraduate Research Fellowship program. Through the program, you'll work side-by-side with faculty members on research projects, and could possibly have your research published or present your findings at professional conferences.
