Teacher Education Services

MSU's office of Teacher Education Services provides you with the information guidance and support services you need as you work towards your goal of completing initial teaching certification.

All students pursuing programs leading into initial teacher certification must meet specific requirements during three transition points:

1. Admittance into the Teacher Education Program 

2. Maintaining all eligibility requirements while completing the Teacher Education Program, including field experience hours, clinical practice (student teaching) and completion of the Teacher Performance Assessment (TPA) throughout clinical practice.

3. Program Completion by applying for teacher certification and meeting all Kentucky Teacher Internship Program (KTIP) requirements

Minority Educator Recruitment and Retention Loan Forgiveness Program

If you are a teacher education major with a 2.75 GPA and 21 ACT score from Kentucky, you may qualify for the Minority Educator Recruitment and Retention Loan Forgiveness Program.
