 As new advances emerge in the biomedical field, there is an increased demand for qualified scientists to fill a number of vital roles. Morehead State's Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences is developed specifically for students intent on attending medical school or a health professional school, pursuing a career as a biomedical scientist or a graduate education in biomedical disciplines. The courses are heavily weighted toward biomedical subjects, and as a student, you'll receive both lecture and hands-on experience in laboratory classes. 

The biomedical sciences area of concentration was developed specifically for students who plan on attending a health professional school, students interested in a pre-med program, those pursuing a career in biomedicine or a graduate education in biomedical disciplines. The courses are heavily weighted toward biomedical subjects, and there are a number of options to specialize your degree.

4+1 Option

You can also choose to take advantage of the 4+1 degree option , where you can earn a bachelor's and master's degree in five years. 


Pre-Pharmacy 3+1 Option

Pre-pharmacy students who are interested in obtaining a Doctor of Pharmacy degree can fast-track their education thanks to a collaborative program between MSU and Sullivan University. Students who qualify for the program will complete their first three years of courses at MSU, then begin their first year of the doctoral program at Sullivan. At the end of the year, the credits they've earned in the program will reverse transfer to MSU, and the student will be awarded a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences.
