If you’re looking for a career that allows you to help people live their healthiest lives, let Morehead State’s Department of Kinesiology, Health, and Imaging Sciences (KHIS) help you start the journey.

Whether your goal is to become a health teacher or to develop specialized skills in medical imaging, KHIS has a program to suit your needs. All of our programs provide opportunities for personal, one-on-one attention from faculty members who are committed to helping you succeed. You’ll gain both knowledge and hands-on skills working in various labs with state-of-the-art equipment and through clinical placement at one of the department’s affiliated health care facilities. Our programs will give you an edge when you enter the workforce or in graduate school.

You’ll also have the chance to work alongside faculty professors on exciting research projects as early as your freshman year through MSU’s Undergraduate Research Fellowship program. You could even present your research at professional conferences or have it published in an undergraduate research journal.

Imaging Sciences

Imaging Sciences programs give you the hands-on clinical skills and knowledge you'll need to pursue an exciting, cutting-edge healthcare career after graduation. Not only will a degree from MSU prepare you for success, you’ll be able to take pride in the fact that your work helps people lead longer, healthier lives.

We can prepare you for a career as a:

  • MRI technologist
  • CT technologist

We also offer one of the nation’s few online bachelor degrees in radiology/imaging sciences. The Leadership in Medical Imaging online bachelor degree program is designed to prepare working technologists to be competent leaders in radiology/imaging sciences.

Nekko Beal

"I want to break that barrier ... I want to be like 'I did this.' I want to change how people see women in athletic training."

Nekko is an exercise science major from Cincinnati and she wants to become an athletic trainer in the NFL or in the military. She enjoys outdoor activities and the many opportunities that MSU offers.

Imaging Sciences

Morehead State’s imaging sciences programs prepare you for a rewarding medical career. We offer both two-year and four-year programs in our state-of-the-art imaging facilities located at the Center for Health, Education and Research. Our leadership in medical imaging degree at MSU is one of the nation’s few imaging sciences bachelor’s degree programs that is offered completely online. The program is designed for working professionals who already hold an associate degree.
