As a student, you will gain hands-on experience with the latest imaging technologies, and the faculty is among the most highly credentialed in the nation and is dedicated to student success. MSU's imaging sciences programs are affiliated with more than 30 clinical education centers, ranging from outpatient imaging centers to large hospitals and medical facilities. Students are assigned to multiple institutions allowing them to gain real-world clinical experience in a variety of professional settings.
 

Our graduates work with sophisticated equipment and use critical judgment to produce diagnostic images. Imaging sciences, such as radiology, offer very exciting career opportunities with continuing technological advances, and it is just one career path open to graduates of our programs. Our greatest accomplishments are our more than 1,300 graduates working throughout the nation in numerous technical and administrative positions.
 

A degree in imaging sciences from MSU will prepare you for a number of rewarding career fields, including:

  • Radiographer
  • Sonographer
  • MRI technologist
  • CT technologist
 

We also offer one of the nation’s few online bachelor degrees in radiology/imaging sciences. The Leadership in Medical Imaging online bachelor degree program is designed to prepare working technologists to be competent leaders in radiology/imaging sciences.
 

Students who are accepted to Morehead State University are not automatically accepted to study imaging sciences. Cohorts are chosen through a competitive selection process. Visit the department's application page for requirements, criteria and application materials.
