Summer Employment

The following positions have all been filled for Summer 2014.

Summer Conference Assistant (Posting #14576)

Summer Conference Assistants have significant responsibility in overall summer conference operations including but not limited to: provide high quality customer service to all our summer conference guests, serve as a resource person, conduct conference check-ins and check-outs, make sure rooms and buildings are prepared for our conference guest, prepare all keys and necessary paperwork for conference guests, report any work orders on schooldude and/or supervisor, conduct room condition reports, front desk management, emergency call response, complete lock-outs, work on special projects during down time as needed, and enforce conference policies. Conference Assistants will attend training and weekly scheduled meetings. Federal Work Study status is preferred.


Benefits: $8.25 per hour up to 35 hours per week, if needed, a discounted on-campus assignment can be made for the entirety of the summer, beginning Wednesday, May 28, 2014 through Monday, August 4, 2014

Time Commitment: All Summer Conference Assistants must be available from Wednesday, May 28, 2014 through Monday, August 4, 2014 (those looking to request time off and/or vacations should do so two weeks in advance. Time off needs to be approved prior to your leave).

Summer Night Security (Posting #14575)

Night Security desk workers will provide desk coverage from 12am – 8am in buildings where summer camps or summer school students are housed. Night Security desk workers have significant responsibility including but not limited to: provide high quality customer service to all summer conference guests, serve as a resource person, distribute information in a timely manner, complete lock-outs, coordinate security efforts, enforce policy, work on special projects during down time as needed, and perform minor clerical duties. Desk workers will attend training and scheduled meetings. Federal Work Study status is preferred.

Benefits: $8.50 per hour up to 35 hours per week; if needed, a discounted on-campus assignment can be made for the entirety of the summer, beginning Friday, May 30, 2014 through Monday, August 4, 2014. 

Time Commitment:  All Summer Night Security Desk Workers must be available from Friday, May 30, 2014 through Monday, August 4, 2014. (those looking to request time off and/or vacations should do so two weeks in advance. Time off needs be approved prior to your leave).

 

Summer Moving Crew (Posting #14574)

Summer Moving Crew staff will inventory current and new furniture in the residence halls and university warehouse. Duties include, but not limited to: straighten furniture storage rooms, moving, assembling, and disassembling furniture in residence halls and university warehouse, and work on special projects as needed. Will need to be able to lift and move heavy objects.  Members of the moving crew will also be required to drive a cargo van.  Federal Work Study status is preferred.

Benefits:$8.25 per hour up to 35 hours per week.  If needed, a discounted on-campus assignment can be made for the entirety of the summer, beginning Tuesday, May 27, 2014 through Friday, August 15, 2014. 

Time Commitment: All Summer Furniture Crew must be available from Tuesday, May 27, 2014 through Friday, August 15, 2014 (those looking to request time off and/or vacations should do so two weeks in advance. Time off needs to be approved prior to your leave).
