    • Agribusiness

      The Agribusiness Program at Morehead State University is an option of the area of concentration in agricultural sciences.  Agriculture core courses are provided as the framework for the degree with ancillary courses in accounting, management, finance and marketing.  It is a diverse agricultural program providing "hands-on" opportunities in various animal and plant laboratories with a significant contribution of business courses offered in the College of Business and Public Affairs.

    • Agriculture Education

      The Agriculture Education Program at Morehead State University is an option of the area of concentration in agricultural sciences. Agriculture core courses are provided as the framework for the degree with ancillary courses in agricultural mechanics, agronomy, horticulture, agribusiness, animal sciences and education.  It is a diverse agricultural program providing hands-on opportunities in various animal and plant laboratories with a significant contribution of education courses offered in the College of Education.

    • Agriculture Major

      The major in agriculture is a bachelor degree program covering all aspects of agriculture.  Agriculture core courses are provided as the framework for the degree with ancillary courses in animal sciences, horticulture, agronomy, agribusiness and agricultural mechanics.  Students will gain a working knowledge of production systems in the region.  It is a diverse agricultural program providing hands-on opportunities in various animal and plant laboratories. This program requires a minor.

    • Agronomy

      The Agronomy Program at Morehead State University is an option of the area of concentration in agricultural sciences. Agriculture core courses are provided as the framework for the degree with ancillary courses in weed science, soil conservation, feeding and other related courses. This program provides hands-on opportunities in various plant laboratories.

    • Animal Science

      The Animal Science Program at Morehead State University is an option of the area of concentration in agricultural sciences.  It is a bachelor degree program covering all aspects of agricultural enterprises in association with livestock in the region.  Agriculture core courses are provided as the framework for the degree with ancillary courses in animal production and management, reproduction, breeding and nutrition.  This program provides hands-on opportunities in various animal laboratories and at the Derrickson Agriculture Complex, the University's 325-acre working farm, which houses horses, beef cattle, swine and sheep.

    • Career and Technical Education - Agriculture, Master of Science

      The Master of Science in Career and Technical Education-Agriculture degree is structured to allow individuals to pursue career advancement in agriculture-based career and technical programs at the secondary and postsecondary level in teaching and administration, or to prepare technologists with advanced technical management skills who are capable of managing personnel training and facilities.

    • Equine Science

      The Equine Science Program at Morehead State University in an option of the area of concentration in agricultural sciences. Agriculture core courses are provided as the framework for the degree with ancillary courses in horsemanship, equitation teaching, equine management, equine breeding and reproduction, animal nutrition, livestock judging and other support instruction. This program provides hands-on opportunities at the Derrickson Agriculture Complex, the University's 325-acre working farm. Many students are also actively involved on the MSU Equestrian Team.

    • General Agriculture

      The General Agriculture Program at Morehead State University is an option of the area of concentration in agricultural sciences. Agriculture core courses are provided as the framework for the degree with ancillary courses in animal science, horticulture, agronomy, agribusiness and agriculture mechanics. It is a diverse agricultural program providing hands-on opportunities in various animal and plant laboratories.

    • Golf Course Management

      The Golf Course Management Program at Morehead State University is an option of the area of concentration in agricultural sciences. Agriculture core courses are provided as the framework for the degree with ancillary courses in landscape maintenance and management, sports marketing, business management and other associated topics. The program provides hands-on opportunities in various plant laboratories. Additionally, students get first-hand exposure to course content at Eagle Trace Golf Course, a University owned and operated 18-hole golf course.

    • Horsemanship Minor

      The student must complete a minimum of 21 semester hours of agriculture courses and a major in another field. General course electives may also be taken in horsemanship, agriculture and related areas by students wishing greater depth in horsemanship.

    • Horticulture

      The Horticulture Program at Morehead State University is an option of the area of concentration in agricultural sciences. Agriculture core courses are provided as the framework for the degree with ancillary courses involving the operation and maintenance of nurseries and greenhouses, landscape design, construction and maintenance and various production courses. This program provides hands-on opportunities in various plant laboratories and greenhouses.

    • Veterinary Science

      The Department of Agricultural Sciences at Morehead State University offers a bachelor of science in veterinary science.  The program covers all aspects of pre-veterinary medicine including all pre-veterinary requirements for all of the major colleges of veterinary medicine in the U.S.  In addition, the program provides hands-on opportunities in various animal health and disease laboratories.

    • Veterinary Technology

      The Department of Agricultural Sciences at Morehead State University offers both an associate of applied science in veterinary technology and a bachelor of science in veterinary technology.  Students in the program develop their skills on a wide variety of animals and take courses which contribute to their understanding of animal care and nursing.  Clinical training is on actual animal patients and is completed at the MSU Veterinary Technology Small Animal Teaching Hospital, Equine Health and Education Center and farm areas of the Derrickson Agricultural Complex.
