    • Special Education, Moderate and Severe Disabilities and Middle Grades (5-9) Certification Area of Concentration, Bachelor of Arts

      This program prepares our graduates to work with students with a range of disabilities in either the so-called mild (LBD: e.g. learning disabilities, attention deficit disorder, behavioral disorders, etc.) or severe range (MSD: e.g. severe intellectual disability, autism, multiple disability, etc.) in public school programs at any grade level. It also certify graduate to teach in the middle school.

Additionally graduates meet the requirements for P-5 teaching.

    • Special Education, Rank I

      Rank 1 programs aim to refine teachers’ instructional skills and arm them with the latest trends in education models, behavior patterns, technology, and leadership techniques.

    • Superintendent, Certificate

      The aim of this program is to prepare school district leaders with the leadership and management skills needed to lead their organizations to the improvement of student learning. It is designed to prepare current building principals and mid-level administrators to meet the leadership challenges to be faced by school superintendents in the twenty-first century.

    • Supervisor of Instruction, Certificate

      This program is a 37-semester hour, two-level program. Level 1 consists of 25 semester hours and Level 2 consists of 12 semester hours. Initial certification is issued for a five-year period after completion of Level 1 and the exit professional portfolio. The certificate is renewed subsequently for five-year periods.

    • Teacher Leader Fifth-Year

      This program provides strong leadership training for candidates who choose to serve as classroom teachers and allows candidates to hone skills to serve as resource teachers, consultants, committee chairs, and instructional leaders. The program also prepares candidates to focus on skills needed to leverage both internal and external resources that influence student achievement.

    • Teacher Leader, Master of Arts

    • Theatre - Minor in Theatre

      The Minor in Theatre is for those students who wish to study in a major other than theatre but wish formal training in theatre.

    • Theatre Major - Bachelor of Arts (BA) Theatre Area of Concentration with Teaching Certification

      Program Info Degrees Careers Requirements Curriculum Map Contact Bachelor of Arts Theatre Teaching Area of Concetration degree program is for those students who wish to pursue a career of teaching theatre in the schools.  In addition to the degree, this program leads to certification and licensure.

    • Theatre Major - Bachelor of Arts in Theatre-Major (BA)

      Bachelor of Arts in Theatre degree program is designed to give students formal training in all aspects of theatre performance and production with an emphasis on extensive "hands on" experiences.

    • Training Program for Minor in Military Science

       The MSU Eagle Battalion has continually provided Officers to the U.S. Army throughout its 38 year history. Since the first Commissioning Ceremony with 34 Second Lieutenants in 1970, Morehead State University ROTC has commissioned over 600 Officers.

       

    • Women's Studies Program - Minor

      The Interdisciplinary Women's Studies Program provides a minor for Morehead State University undergraduates.  Students explore gender and issues related to gender within a wide range of disciplines such as literature, political science, communication, sociology, history, health and education.
