"The instructor is clear and upfront about expectations, while being flexible enough to meet the needs of your students. Many adults are taking distance courses so that they can juggle family, work and educational pursuits. Humanize the content by focusing on the the learners and not the mode of delivery. While online courses rely on computers and various technologies for many aspects of communication and delivery, the technology should always support the learning goals and the students need to learn.
The instructor is committed to provide equal educational opportunities to all persons. Throughout the content and presentation of the course information, the instructor strives to offer a learning environment that is conducive to openness with regard to current trends, policies, guidelines and issues to encourage global development and student preparation for an ever-changing society."

"I truly enjoy teaching at Morehead State University with an environment where hunt seat, western and saddle seat are fairly represented. Classes are taught on great school horses ranging from Saddlebreds, Thoroughbreds, Quarter Horses and more giving riders a chance to master many different riding techniques. While with both the IHSA (intercollegiate horse show association) and ISSRA (intercollegiate saddle seat riding association) show teams the emphasis can really be on the rider’s ability to adapt to new horses at their own level in equitation. Between the classes, equestrian club and teams, Our program gives students many opportunities to get involved in the equine program, including classes, the equestrian club or one of the equestrian teams."

"Teaching is something that I have always wanted to do. I enjoy helping others exceed their own expectations. I am very blessed to teach at a University where there is such a family-type atmosphere and where the teaching resources are endless. I feel very fortunate to have a job where I not only get to help others learn, but I get to do a lot of that teaching outside in a practical setting."

"Agricultural Education is a great field to enter as a profession. Your work days will be long and at some times trying, but when you see the look in your student's eyes that they understand the concept you are trying to teach them it's all worth everything you do. "
