Call for Papers

As a reaffirmation of its commitment to scholarly writing, the Appalachian Writers Association invites submissions of paper proposals by April 30 for our upcoming July 11, 12, 13, 2008 conference to be hosted by Morehead State University, Morehead, Kentucky. The AWA Conference theme is "Personal Change, Societal Change.

Topics for papers may address any of a wide range of issues pertaining to Appalachian literature, creative culture and literary heritage. Presentation time for each paper will be fifteen-twenty minutes.

Those presenting papers must be current members of the Appalachian Writers Association during the 2008 conference. On-campus room and board will be available at Morehead State University.

The deadline for submissions is April 30, 2008. Please send two-page abstracts to the

Appalachian Writers Association.
