| Claypool-Young Art Gallery Information/Exhibition Samples 
The Claypool-Young Art Gallery: The Claypool-Young art gallery provides the university community, as well as the city of Morehead, with rare cultural opportunities to view a wide range of visual art. The art gallery, located in the Claypool-Young Art Building on the Morehead State University campus, is the largest exhibiting space in Kentucky east of Lexington, featuring contemporary art of American and international artists. Exhibitions rotate approximately once a month, with opening receptions featuring complimentary drinks and food, along with live music. Gallery hours are Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, and opening receptions are scheduled on Wednesday nights, from 6 to 8 PM. Interested in exhibition opportunities? The Claypool-Young Art Gallery at Morehead State University will host a national juried exhibition, No New Tale To Tell: Contemporary Narrative Art, January 20 – February 17, 2010, focused on artwork emphasizing storytelling. The exhibition will close with a reception on Wednesday, February 17 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. The exhibition is part of a series of visual art programming focused on narrative artwork, including workshops and lectures by nationally renowned artists and illustrators, scheduled for Spring 2010.
