CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS

There are a variety of professional organizations and clubs in the College of Business that offer students opportunities to meet new people, have some fun, and expand their professional and personal experiences. These clubs are an important part of the college learning experience and provide benefits beyond the time spent in school. Below is a list of the organizations and a brief description.

Accounting Club
The Accounting club is available to accounting majors and anyone else who might be interested in learning more about the accounting profession. Monthly meetings provide the opportunity to interact with professional speakers from various accounting-related areas. The club also takes field trips to area businesses, accounting firms, government agencies, and professional meetings. Other social opportunities abound! For further information contact Sharon Walters.

Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP)
AITP is affiliated with an internationally recognized organization of computer professionals. The national organization newsletter discusses current topics in information systems, book reviews, etc. Students have an excellent opportunity to meet and network with people in the "real world." The annual dues are used to cover the operating costs of the club and provide student scholarships. For more information contact Dr. Randy McCoy.
