There are a variety of professional organizations and clubs in the College of Business that offer students opportunities to meet new people, have some fun, and expand their professional and personal experiences. These clubs are an important part of the college learning experience and provide benefits beyond the time spent in school. Below is a list of the organizations and a brief description.

Accounting Club
The Accounting club is available to accounting majors and anyone else who might be interested in learning more about the accounting profession. Monthly meetings provide the opportunity to interact with professional speakers from various accounting-related areas. The club also takes field trips to area businesses, accounting firms, government agencies, and professional meetings. Other social opportunities abound! Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP)
AITP is affiliated with an internationally recognized organization of computer professionals. The national organization newsletter discusses current topics in information systems, book reviews, etc. Students have an excellent opportunity to meet and network with people in the "real world." Beta Gamma Sigma
The chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma received its charter at a special installation ceremony on October 28, 2004. At that time, 55 students, faculty, and administrators were inducted as charter members.

Beta Gamma Sigma is the honor society for students enrolled in business and management programs accredited by AACSB International. Election to lifetime membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest honor a business student anywhere in the world can receive in an undergraduate or master’s program at a school accredited by AACSB. Economics and Finance Club
The Economics and Finance Club is open to anyone interested in economics, finance, or business. The club manages two stock portfolios. Recent club trips include visits to the Federal Reserve Bank and Chicago Board of Trade. Meetings are held monthly. For membership and more information, contact Dr. Bruce Grace.

Future Managers Society (FMS)
The Future Managers Society is open to any business major but is primarily devoted to students majoring in Management. The purpose of this club is to expose students interested in management to business managers, while providing an opportunity to interact with other students and network with business people. Phi Beta Lambda (PBL)
PBL is a professional organization for those interested in business. PBL offers a variety of social, community, and professional activities for its members. The local chapter also participates in business-oriented competitions at the state and national level. Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE)
