Recreation & wellness

Introduction

Morehead State students had a vision of a place that would be able to offer fitness and leisure activities while providing an ideal environment for social interaction among students. Now, that vision has come to fruition in the form of MSU’s brand new Recreation and Wellness Center.

This state-of-the-art, 100,000 square-foot facility was conceived and funded by students to serve the Eagle community. It features three basketball courts and two racquetball courts. There are multiple fitness areas with free weights and a variety of exercise equipment, along with cardio hallways and balconies lined with some of the latest cardiovascular machines – many of which feature their own personal televisions. Students can take a dip in the building’s swimming pool with vortex or tackle our Outdoor Adventure/Challenge course. Plus, there are group fitness classes free for students with numerous fitness focuses, whether it’s Cycling, Zumba, yoga or Pilates.

But the Recreation and Wellness Center isn’t just geared toward fitness, we have something for every recreational need. It serves as a new home for MSU’s various intramural sports leagues and also features a Wi-Fi compatible lounge area and a game room perfect for relaxation and socialization, with billiards, air hockey, foosball and table tennis.

MSU set out to create a place that would serve as a proud testament to what previous students had envisioned and become a social epicenter for campus life. With the Recreation and Wellness Center, we have achieved that goal. As soon as you see it for yourself, you’ll realize MSU is Much More about you.
