Welcome to the College of Business and Technology
The College of Business and Technology includes the School of Business Administration, the School of Public Management and Government and the School of Engineering and Information Systems. Programs in the College of Business and Technology offer a broad choice of quality academic programs and opportunities for both undergraduate and graduate students. Through our network of centers and institutes, as well as faculty and student research, the college actively engages with a wide variety of regional initiatives that enrich the learning environment while contributing to the community.
The mission of the College of Business and Technology is to prepare students for successful careers and enriched lives in the public, private and nonprofit sectors; conduct and support basic, applied and pedagogical research; and utilize its resources to improve the quality of life in the eastern Kentucky region.
3rd Annual Business and Technology: Beyond the Classroom Conference
The College of Business and Technology will host the 3rd Annual Business and Technology: Beyond the Classroom conference on Thursday, October 15, 2015. The theme for this year's conference is Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Students who have registered for the conference can check-in beginning at 12:30 p.m. in the Adron Doran University Center (ADUC) and participate in a information sharing session with student clubs and organizations from the College of Business and Technology. Dr. Bob Albert, Dean of the College of Business and Technology will deliver opening comments at 1:30 p.m. which will be followed by two breakout sessions featuring topics on Sport Business, Auditing practices, Leadership in Business, Design and Innovation, Biomechanics, Interactive Gaming, Federal Budgeting and Intellectual Property Law.
The day's events will conclude with the MSU Presidential Lecture Series Speaker, Mr. Jack Uldrich. Mr. Uldrich is a Global Futurist, Best Selling Author and frequent guest on the Science Channel's "FutureScape" and Disney Channel's "Inside Out".
