Clinic Services
The offices of Counseling and Health Services are located on the first floor of Allie Young Hall. The Caudill Health Clinic (CHC) is open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday during fall and spring semesters. Hours of operation at other times are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The CHC professional and medical staff consists of three registered nurses, and two medical practitioners. Patients are seen on a walk-in basis. CHC records are strictly confidential and are not released to anyone without the student's knowledge and signed authorization.
Emergencies / After Hours Care
Patients with emergencies that are life threatening should go directly to St. Claire Regional Medical Centers Emergency Room (24 hours a day) where treatment will be rendered. St. Claire Regional Medical Center is a modern, multi-service hospital, located a few blocks west of the main campus of Morehead State University. Follow-up care, if desired, may be provided by CHC. Students needing immediate emergency medical transportation can call the Morehead/Rowan County ambulance service at 911. Students using this service are responsible for payment.
Patient Financial Responsibility
The following psychological/medical services must be paid for by the student:
- Psychiatric and medical referrals
- Prescriptions
- Hospitalizations or Emergency Room visits
- X-ray services
- Laboratory services or tests performed outside of CHC
- A few in-house lab tests
- Academic program related physicals
- Allergy Injections
- Tubertculin Skin Test
- Meningitis Vaccine
Please note that the CHC does not provide prescribing/dispensing of eyeglasses, "house calls", obstetrical care, or healthcare to family members of students.
