Bachelor of University Studies - General Studies/Online

This online degree is designed specifically for KCTCS graduates with AA/AS or AAS degrees who desire to earn  baccalaureate degrees at Morehead State University by completing 128 semester hours. Students must complete 128 hours, with 43 semester hours at the 300 level or above and 32 semester hours from MSU with a minimum GPA of 2.0. Students work with a University Studies advisor to develop an academic degree program that is designed to meet their needs. Whether the student completes the AA/AS or AAS degree from KCTCS determines which option a student pursues.

Option for AA/AS Graduates
This option is for students who have earned an AA/AS degree from KCTCS.  These students must have completed the General Education transfer block from KCTCS.

Option for AAS Graduates
This option is for students who have earned an AAS degree from KCTCS and do not want to enter into a Morehead State University baccalaureate program that has an articulated degree transfer program agreement between MSU and KCTCS such as BSN, BS in Radiologic Science, BS in Industrial Technology, BA in Teacher Education, etc. AAS students wanting to pursue the BUS degree will be required to declare the BUS degree upon transfer to Morehead State University. If the BUS degree is not declared at the time of transfer, some of the credits from the technical programs may not be awarded credit toward another MSU degree unless they are part of an articulation degree transfer program between KCTCS and MSU. 

Field of Study - The field of study is a planned academic concentration of 18 to 30 semester hours determined by the student and approved by an academic advisor. The General Studies field of study is interdisciplinary.
