Dr. Karen Taylor, Associate Professor of French

BioKaren Taylor holds a Ph.D. in Romance Languages from the University of Georgia, and taught French and Women's studies at the university level before coming to Morehead State in 2000. A native of England, she received her B.A at the University of Liverpool, and spent a year teaching middle and high-school English in the north of France.
Her research interest is in the French Middle Ages, and focuses on feminist interpretations of the literature and culture of that period. She has several publications in her field, including her book "Gender Transgressions: Crossing the Normative Barrier in Medieval French Literature".
At Morehead State, she teaches French at all levels, as well as classes in English on Medieval Culture. She is as happy as a clam in the classroom, where she looks forward to being for many more years.
