All area middle and high school and college bassoonists are invited to participate in MSU's Bassoon Day.  Professor Lecolion Washington, professof of bassoon at the University of Memphis will be the guest artist-in-residence and clinician for Basson Day.  Prof. Washington is a vertaran teacher and consummate bassoon performer who is experienced iin many different aspects of the music profession.  The schedule for Bassoon Day is:

10:30-noon         Master Class Warm Up Session, Group Masterclass and Ensemble Coaching

1:30-2:30 p.m.    All-State Audition Excerpt Coaching for High School Bassoonists, with Dr. Oyen

1:30-2:30 p.m.    Managing Performance Anxiety, with Prof. Washington

2:30-4:00 p.m.    Lecolion Washington Solo Bassoon Master Class

4:15-5:00 p.m.    Closing Recital
