Bio
Dr. Seelig returned to the Department of Health, Wellness and Human Performance in 2012 after serving most recently as the Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs and Graduate and Undergraduate Dean at Morehead State University. Prior to assuming executive-level administrative positions, Dr. Seelig also served as the Chair of the Department of Health, Physical Education and Sport Sciences, Director of the University Wellness Center, and as a tenured Professor of Exercise Science at Morehead State University. She has been invited to serve as a consultant to universities and corporate entities and as a keynote speaker by community-based organizations. In addition to authoring or co-authoring several articles and papers for publication or presentation at professional conferences, Dr. Seelig has been awarded a significant number of federal grants. Dr. Seelig received her Ed.D. from the University of Kentucky in the area of Exercise Physiology with an emphasis in cardiac rehabilitation and was selected for both the Outstanding Graduat Student Award and Convocation Speaker by the College of Education. She has traveled extensively internationally, managed her own business, and continues professional involvement in community and regional projects.
