Description:
The Claypool-Young Art Gallery will be hosting the exhibit, New Country: Contemporary Depictions of Ruralism, from October 24 through November 20.
The exhibition will feature works of all media that reference and/or are inspired by current or historical ideas of rural life and the pastoral in American culture. Artists interested in submitting work for consideration are encouraged to creatively interpret issues or imagery related to rural life. An Opening Reception will be held on October 24 from 5-7 p.m. in the Gallery.
The Claypool-Young art gallery, an educational resource of the Department of Art and Design and the University, features contemporary art for the Morehead State University community and its service region. The gallery, open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. or by appointment, is free and open to the public. Parking is available on Main Street and across campus after 5 p.m.
