Cosmic Origins Spectrograph

Cosmic Origins Spectrograph covers the Hubble C.O.S. instrument, the nature of light, spectroscopy, the use of quasars as background light sources, material identification by spectrum, and the cycling of material within and surrounding galaxies. A 30 minute film highlighting the current research of C.O.S. aboard the Hubble Space Telescope, the last instrument installed by the NASA astronauts. The Cosmic Origin Spectrograph is allowing us an unprecedented view into the vast spaces between galaxies which surrounds our own Milky Way. Produced by Fiske Planetarium.

Explore the amazing rainbow of cosmic light through COSMIC COLORS, an original production of the Daniel M. Soref Planetarium in cooperation with the Great Lakes Planetarium Association.
