Engineering Technology - Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology - BS

Program Info
In choosing the Electronics & Computer Engineering Technology option, students will comprehensively study the diverse areas of electronics and telecommunications and fully understand the role of electricity in modern devices. The course work will be in areas such as digital electronics, analog circuits and devices, communication circuits, microprocessor electronics, communication systems, computer networks, fiber optics, computer electronics, and
wireless technologies.

The Electronics & Computer Engineering Technology option will prepare students for positions such as Technical Managers in the electronics enterprise, Electronic Technician, Computer Analyst, Network Analyst, Network Administrator, Network Manager, Computer Hardware Engineer, Computer Support Specialist, and System Administrator. With today's continual technological change in the electronics field, a background in this option will keep you on the cutting edge of the industry.



The Engineering Technology Bachelor Degree program within the Department of Applied Engineering and Technology is accredited by the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE).

BS - Engineering Technology - Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology Option

The BSET in Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology prepares students for positions that include Network Administrator, Production Manager, Design Engineer, Quality Engineer, and Electric Designer Engineer.

Satisfy University admission requirements. The requirements can be found on the MSU Admission Requirements webpage. Please see the Curriculum Map for specific courses for the option. To satisfy the mathematics requirement of the program, a score of at least 20 on the Math portion of the ACT is expected. Those students, desiring to enter the program, who do not possess scores at 20 or above can be admitted provisionally to the program.

Caiwu Ding
Caiwu Ding is a Graduate Assistant in the AET Department working under four professors. He concentrates his efforts on classes and labs for IET 315, IET 330, ITMT 286, ITMT 370, and IET 203. He is conducting research on the Optimization of a Ping Pong Vacuum Cannon system and is helping build a solar panel device. Caiwu is also a graduate student advisor for the AET Robotics Team.
