Bio

Lakmal is a graduate assistant working in the AET department while pursuing his Masters of Science in Engineering Technology. He is an international student from Sri Lanka (situated on the Indian Ocean), and graduated with Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT). Previously, he worked as a Technical Lead for a software development company in San Jose, CA for five years. He has experience in designing complex commercial software applications and handheld device applications using Microsoft .NET, SQL related technologies. He worked on a team that developed a price checking system for Macy’s department stores and another complex web based application designed and developed by him is currently used by Monterey Peninsula Water Management District.
