Cave Run Symphony Orchestra: Sounds From The Cinema, The Inaugural Season Finale Concert

This concert by the Cave Run Symphony Orchestra will be conducted by Dr. Matthew Westgate, who is the Director of Instrumental Activities at Xavier University in Cincinnati where he conducts the Chamber Orchestra, Symphonic Wiinds and the Xavier Pep Bands. The concert will feature the works: Candide: Overture by Leonard Bernstein, Herides Overture (Fingal's Cave) by Felix Mendelssohn, Pirates of the Caribbean by Thurl Ravenscroft, March Slave by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky, and A Tribute to John Williams by John Williams (arranged by John Lavender). Tickets are $10, MSU students are $5, children 17 and under are free. Season tickets are $25. Tickets will be sold at the door, and will soon be sold online on the CRSO website at http://www.thecrso.com/. Note that the CRSO's first Inaugural Concert held December 7 at the Morehead Conference Center's largest auditorium was standing room only, so you will want to arrive early to get a good seat.
