Psychology - Area of Concentration

Program Requirements

The Area of Concentration in Psychology is a 120-hour program. Students complete

54 hours of psychology courses,
30 hours of general education courses, and
36 hours of elective courses.

Psychology Requirements (54 hours)

Core (30 hours)
Students must complete all of the following:

PSY 154 - Introduction to Psychology
PSY 156 - Lifespan Development Psychology
PSY 281 - Experimental Design and Analysis I
PSY 282 - Experimental Design and Analysis II
PSY 354 - Introduction to Social Psychology
PSY 380 - Cognitive Psychology
PSY 390 - Psychology of Personality
PSY 421 - Physiological Psychology
PSY 489 - Psychology of Learning
PSY 499C - Systems and Theories

Electives (24 hours)
Students must complete eight additional psychology courses

General Education Requirements (30 hours)
