Barbara L. Dehner, Assistant to Dean

Barbara Dehner has been employed at Morehead State University since 1982. Currently she serves as the Assistant to Dean of the College of Science and Technology. Immediately prior, she served as Imaging Sciences Chair and Radiologic Sciences Program Coordinator. Prior to this service she served the Radiologic Science Program as the Clinical Coordinator.
A native of Elliott County, Mrs. Dehner received both her Associate of Applied Science and Bachelor of University Studies from Morehead State University. She has also completed two master’s degrees, one in Adult and Higher Education from Morehead State University and another in Radiologic Science Education from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. Mrs. Dehner is certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in radiography, mammography, and computed tomography.
Mrs. Dehner has been a member and officer of local, state, and national professional organizations. This service includes four years as a Director–at–Large for Association of Educators in Radiological Sciences, American Healthcare Radiology Administrators’ Annual Meeting design teams, and most recently completed a six year term for the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Sciences. During her service to the JRCERT she served as site visitor member, site visitor chair and the following board of director positions; secretary / treasurer, first vice chair and chair. She has published and made numerous presentations to allied health and educator groups.
She is a member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists and Association of Educators in Imaging and Radiologic Sciences. The Association of Educators in Imaging and Radiologic Sciences professional organization elevated her to Fellow status in 2002.
