Charles D. “Chad” Rogers, MSN, RN, Assistant Professor

Degrees, Licensures and Certifications: Masters of Science in Nursing (Education), Bachelors of Science in Nursing, Associate of Applied Science (Nursing), Certificate of Completion (Paramedic Training Program)
Research Interests: Chad’s clinical interest include correctional nursing, critical care nursing and emergency nursing.
Chad served 10 years in the Kentucky National Guard as a medic supporting troop health for the 201st Engineering Batallion. During his time in the National Guard he served in Ecuador, Barbados and various in state areas providing multi-faceted levels of care.
Chad graduated the Paramedic Training program at Shawnee State University in Portsmouth, OH. His main area of practice in emergency medicine was in a mill. He worked the ambulance and logged thousands of hours performing confined space rescue.
Chad is a two time graduate of Morehead State. He earned an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing in 2001 and a Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2005. He also completed a Masters Degree in Nursing with an emphasis in Education in 2010.
Chad has worked in the critical care setting in two area hospitals. He is a seasoned ICU and ER nurse. In addition to teaching Registered Nurses he also spent four years teaching Licensed Practical Nurses.
