Biography
A native of Bath County, KY, Farley Purvis graduated from Bath County High School in 1997. He served in the Kentucky Army National Guard from 1997 to 2006 as part of Company B, 206th Engineer Battalion in Carlisle, KY. In 2001 the unit transitioned into Battery B, 2/138th Field Artillery Battalion and mobilized in 2003 in support of Operation Noble Eagle III. Purvis attended OSUT (One Station Unit Training) at Fort Leonardwood, MO. in 1997.
Farley also served as an Owingsville Police Officer, Bath County Deputy Sheriff, Human Resources Assistant with the Kentucky Department of Military Affairs and a Security Guard with the Department of the Army, (Blue Grass Army Depot). He began his tenure with the Eagle Battalion at Morehead State University Army ROTC in February, 2008 as the Human Resources Technician. Farley and his wife Tasha, (a 2006 graduate of Morehead State University) have one son, Ryan, and currently reside in Owingsville, KY.
