Research Interests: Research and teaching interests include policing, compassion fatigue, the association with post traumatic stress disorder and substance use, criminal justice organizations, victimization, and qualitative research methods She has reviewed publications in Criminology and Public Policy, Journal of Offender Rehabilitation, Police Forum, and Journal of Addiction Medicine. She has peer-reviewed publications in Criminology and Public Policy, Journal of Offender Rehabilitation, Police Forum, and Journal of Addiction Medicine, in addition to several book chapters. Dr. Biebel’s current research examines the availability of psychological services for police officers who have suffered work related trauma.
Bio
Ph.D.- University of Kentucky. Dr. Biebel has served as director of a law enforcement academy, as well as consulted for police agencies across the country.
