Lauren VanHook grew up in Mason, Ohio, graduating from William Mason High School in 2008. After enrolling in Morehead State University, she is pursuing a degree in Government. Her recent studies have focused on Asian policies, presenting her findings at the Celebration of Student Scholarship and at the Kentucky Political Science Association Conference. In the future she plans to study abroad in China, hopefully providing new information to aid her with research under Dr. Masterson, who has provided great insight in Asian policies and trends. Lauren hopes that after graduating from Morehead State University she will attend law school with a focus in international policies.
