Bio

Kay supervises labs and manages the chemical stockroom for the chemistry program. She also teaches chemistry labs and acts as chemical safety officer for the program. She is one of our accomplished graduates, receiving her undergraduate degree in Chemistry from MSU. She pursued further work and obtained her M.S. in Chemistry at the University of Georgia and culminated this with a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Kentucky. Her interests are chemical instrumentation, chemical kinetics, lecture demonstrations, science fiction, cacti, and foreign films - subtitled (not dubbed). Kay was been with the Chemistry program since 1994.
