The Saddle Seat Team at Morehead State University currently led by Sarah Lynch (senior, advanced) and Madelyn Palazzo (sophomore, novice). Team members are responsible for both riding and long lining/jogging each week, as well as long term upkeep such as tails, clipping, etc. Although the smallest of the three teams at MSU, it can’t be argued that the Saddle Seat team is a close-knit and hard working bunch.

The MSU farm is home to seven saddlebreds who are used in weekly team practices as well as riding classes and workouts. As well, all of the horses have had experience in the show ring either with team members or summer lessees and have proved their worth through their versatility and ability to go from lesson horse to show horse.

All of the team members are also part of MSU’s Equestrian Club, which is open to anyone interested in the program regardless of experience. Overall, all three teams and club members work as a single entity and make for a great environment to learn and enjoy the Equestrian field.
