The Agriculture Education Program at Morehead State University is an Option of the Area of Concentration in Agricultural Sciences. Agriculture core courses are provided as the framework for the degree with ancillary courses in agricultural mechanics, agronomy, horticulture, agribusiness, animal sciences, and education. It is a diverse agricultural program providing "hands-on" opportunities in various animal and plant laboratories with a significant contribution of education courses offered in the College of Education.

Students seeking teacher certification must apply for and be admitted to the Teacher Education Program (TEP) at MSU. Students must have an overall GPA of 2.5 in area of concentration courses before they will be permitted to take agricultural education courses. Students must be approved by the agricultural faculty and recommended for certification.
