Agronomy is the science and technology of producing and using plants for food, fuel, feed, fiber, and reclamation. Agronomy encompasses work in the areas of plant genetics, plant physiology, meteorology, and soil science.
The Agronomy Program at Morehead State University is an Option of the Area of Concentration in Agricultural Sciences. Agriculture core courses are provided as the framework for the degree with ancillary courses in weed science, soil conservation, feeding and other related courses. This program provides "hands-on" opportunities in various plant laboratories.
