MSU Reading Series
Each year the BFA in Creative Writing Program invites two nationally acclaimed writers to give readings and craft workshops as part of The Creative Writing Symposium. This event is held in the Spring semester and the workshops and readings are free to students to attend. Among the writers who have visited include Gerald Stern, Anne Marie Macari, Nikky Finney, A.J. Verdelle, Gurney Norman, Frank X. Walker, Aracelis Girmay and Patrick Rosal.
The Morehead State University Reading Series affords students yet another opportunity to enhance their creative writing experience through panel presentations, craft workshops and readings from published authors. Recent visiting writers include Honoree Jeffers, Paula Gandara, Katerin Stoykova-Klemer, Tania James, The Affrilachian Poets, C. Lynn Shaffer, Jane Gentry Vance, Maurice Manning, Jessica Care Moore, Robert Morgan and many others.
