Special Collections & Archives
The mission of Special Collections & Archives is to collect, preserve and make available items that pertain to the history of Morehead State University and its service region, and the culture and history of Eastern Kentucky.
Special Collections includes the Roger W. Barbour Collection, the James Still Collection, and the Jesse Stuart Collection. Books on Kentucky and Appalachia also comprise the collection.
Archives is charged with maintaining the institutional memory of Morehead State University. Board of Regents minutes, The Raconteur yearbooks, photographs, the presidential papers, and the papers of Dr. Adron Doran and Mrs. Mignon Doran are a few of the collections housed in Archives.

Information for Researchers
Special Collections & Archives is open to researchers Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:15 pm. All other hours are by appointment only.
No food or drink is permitted on the Special Collections & Archives floor (Library Tower Fifth Floor). This policy is strictly enforced.
