Bio

Dr. Verdie Craig is an Associate Professor of Geography at MSU.  A Kentucky native, she holds a B.A. in Education from the University of Kentucky, and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Geography from Rutgers University in New Jersey.  Her areas of expertise include rural and community development, social and environmental impacts of development policy, and participatory research for local empowerment.  She has examined development and underdevelopment in both the United States (with a focus on tobacco agricultural transitions) and in Latin America (studying Latin American insurgent movements, especially in Mexico).  She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in both physical and human geography.
John Lee
"My philosophy background really helps me in evaluating various theological perspectives here at seminary. Also, and most importantly I think, it has helped me to better understand and relate to the moral and intellectual worldviews of the people I meet and try to share my faith with. I really do believe that I'm a better person, a better Christian, and a better minister because of my studies in philosophy."
