The Department of Foundational and Graduate Studies in Education offers graduate programs in counseling (school and mental health), educational leadership for school administrators, and adult and higher education, plus provides courses in the psychological and social foundations of education for a variety of programs across campus. The department is also the administrative home for the Adult Education Academy for Professional Development, the Adult Learning Center, and MSU's Clearinghouse for Child Abuse Prevention.
We are always happy to talk with students or prospective students who wish to study in one of our disciplines. Although there is considerable information within the pages of this website, you are welcome to meet with the department chair, the program leaders, or a member of the faculty.
