Application ProcedureTo be eligible for this scholarship you must submit a completed application packet, including admission application form, transcripts and test scores, by the March 15 priority application deadline.
Be admitted to MSU for the 2014-15 academic year as a new incoming freshman or transfer student with fewer than 30 hours and meet all of following requirements:
1. Be a legal resident of Kentucky; and
2. Have at least a 3.75 unweighted high school GPA; and
3. Achieve a minimum 28 ACT composite score (1240 SAT composite verbal + math)
“New incoming freshmen” include students transferring that have completed fewer than 30 hours of college credit. “Transfer students” refer to those who have completed 30+ hours of college credit at another institution. College credit hours completed prior to high school graduation, including Early College Program courses, do not affect scholarship eligibility.
Covers tuition cost up to 18 credit hours for fall and spring semesters of enrollment. Students receiving outside scholarships, including KEES funds, and financial aid may not receive more aid than total cost of attendance.
This scholarship cannot be awarded in addition to another academic achievement scholarship.
Criteria for renewal: Achieve a minimum cumulative 3.0 MSU GPA during the first two semesters and a minimum cumulative MSU GPA of 3.25 each semester thereafter; maintain continuous full-time enrollment (at least 12 hours) with MSU; and satisfy the Universityʼs housing policy.
